Welcome to our September news.
What a busy month or so we’ve had.
A lovely wedding at Altskeith Hotel on the banks of Loch Ard with Johanne, Steven and their guests. The weather was beautiful and so was the Trossachs scenery.
Entertainment by The McDonald Brothers and The Red Hot Chilli Pipers. They even managed to get me out in a small rowing boat to get the right angle for a special shot(watch this space).
Our most recent wedding was in Edinburgh at beautiful Abden House with Amanda, Christopher and their guests.
What a great day we had, even venturing up Arthur’s Seat for some shots overlooking Edinburgh.
Images from these weddings will be posted soon on our Facebook Page once we’ve delivered to our clients. Watch out for the sneak previews from our weddings coming soon.
On another note, we had a major computer failure this month which involved the rebuilding of our main editing computer from scratch after an update caused problems followed by a hardware failure.
This just highlights the importance of a good backup strategy. We backup to four separate locations so this was more of an inconvenience than a disaster.
It’s all back up and working again and currently editing another of our weddings.
It also looks as though Jim Brown Photography will be moving. We are looking at a bigger house which will give us a room which will be a dedicated editing suite.
We’ll also have another room which will give clients the option to meet us at home if it isn’t convenient to meet at their home or the venue.
I’m not looking forward to packing and the removals but it will be good to have dedicated space.
Our next wedding means us returning to The Garfield House Hotel in Glasgow for Maggie and Andy’s wedding so more about that in our next newsletter.
